GFS Platform Penge has been working with young mothers between the ages of 14 and 25 who live in the London Borough of Bromley since 1994. It offers young mothers the opportunity to meet others in the same situation in a friendly and safe environment.

The project works with young mothers to identify their personal needs, help them find solutions and take control of their lives.

Services include:

  • Advice and Support on issues such as debt, homelessness, domestic violence, relationships, parenting and healthy life-styles.
  • Drop-in groups where young mothers can come and meet each other and share experiences.
  • Formal Education including IT, Literacy and Numeracy.
  • Informal Education including arts and crafts and parenting..
  • Young Women’s Forum an opportunity for young mothers to explore new ideas and experiences as chosen by them.
  • Healthy Eating including cooking on a budget and nutrition.
  • A free On-site Ofsted Registered Creche.
  • BME outreach and home visiting service.
  • Sexual Health Advice and Condom distribution.
  • Volunteering Opportunities.
